Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 2026 · Governing University & Collegiate Competitions

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, registering for a competition, or launching an event on Gyro0, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service and applicable university codes of conduct.

2. Fair Play & Competition Integrity

  • Single Team Rule: Participants may belong to at most one team per active competition to guarantee fairness. System triggers will reject duplicate registrations.
  • Intra-College Eligibility: Competitions configured by coordinators with "Intra-College Mode" are legally restricted to verified students possessing valid enrollment numbers from the host institution. External attempts to join restricted events will be blocked.
  • Academic Free Allowance: Free tier coordinator accounts are entitled to 1 Free Competition per Academic Year (up to 50 participants). Additional competitions require a Pro Event Pass.
  • Original Work: Submitted code repositories and architectures must be authored during the competition timeframe as defined by the faculty coordinator.
  • Submission Deadlines: Submissions are locked automatically upon the competition end timestamp. Late submissions cannot be accepted once the lock is triggered.
  • Anti-Abuse: Automated bots, spamming chat channels, or attempting to bypass rate limits will result in immediate disqualification.

3. Role-Based Permissions & Responsibilities

Faculty Coordinators: Responsible for defining problem statements, setting schedules, assigning evaluators, and ensuring compliance with college guidelines.

Jury / Judges: Responsible for impartial evaluation using the 4-criteria scoring rubric (Innovation, Technical Execution, Impact, Presentation).

Participants: Responsible for maintaining team integrity, adhering to deadlines, and providing accurate contact details for jury questions.

4. Limitation of Liability & Jurisdiction

Gyro0 provides zero-setup infrastructure "as is". The platform is not liable for academic disputes, prize distribution disputes, or organizer-side cancellations. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
